After 15 years in Valencia, as a coffee lover, I have discovered the best coffee spots. From hidden gems to specialty coffee, I’ve tasted it all. In this blog I share my 5 favorite coffee places in different neighborhoods of Valencia, so you too can enjoy the best coffee during your stay!

Bluebell Coffee Roasters – A hidden gem in Russafa
The coffee beans at Bluebell Coffee are without a doubt the tastiest in Valencia. Every day, these beans are roasted locally by two passionate women, Yolanda and Marian. Besides serving delicious coffee, they also provide very friendly service and a cozy atmosphere in this charming coffee shop, where you can also have a delicious breakfast by the way. Personally, I find the romantic courtyard garden the perfect place to enjoy my cup of coffee. If you’re in the area, don’t miss this place!
El Coffi del Carmen – Hidden in the old town
Start your sunny day in Valencia with a good cup of coffee at Coffi del Carmen. Tucked away in the El Carmen neighborhood, this cozy cafe is perfect for breakfast, brunch or lunch. The small-scale café is known for its friendly staff and warm atmosphere. For 15 euros, you can enjoy a brunch deal that includes coffee, a sandwich, a juice and a cake. Their coffee made from quality beans is a real treat!
Kaide – Thé hotspot of the fishing district of El Cabanyal
In the colorful and lively neighborhood of El Cabanyal you will find Kaide, a unique and hip place that immediately gives you a warm welcome. Upon entering, you see cute Polaroid pictures of dogs visiting the café on the door, which immediately emphasizes the staff’s love for dogs. The café radiates a strong community feeling, everyone who enters seems to know each other and greet each other warmly.
Inside, you can enjoy excellent coffee, delicious pastries and tasty brunch dishes, all freshly prepared! The staff is young and incredibly friendly, which you can also feel in the atmosphere of the café. Outside there is a small terrace where you can enjoy your delicious cup of coffee in the sun. In summary, the perfect place to start your day with a good and relaxed feeling!
Ikore Kofi – Specialty coffee at the market and downtown
Despite the variety of cute coffee shops in the hip neighborhood of Ruzafa, I still choose Ikore Kofi every Saturday morning. You’ll find Ikore Kofi in Ruzafa’s market, where you can chat cozily with market-goers while standing. Be sure to try a cappuccino valenciano, a unique coffee here made only with orange peel from the fruit stand across the street.
If the Ruzafa market is closed, you can visit their location near the main shopping street at C/ Pascual iGenis, 3, where you can sit comfortably. Both addresses have been added to the list of coffee spots in the Valencia Tips App. The downtown coffee shop opened in 2023, following the success of their home-brewed coffee in the Ruzafa market. The breakfast menu is simple but tasty, with options like avocado toast, yogurt with fresh fruit and granola, and croissants.
Riot – Café de especialidad in Benimaclet
In the lively but slightly less known neighborhood of Benimaclet is RIOT, a coffee bar de especialidad known for its high-quality coffee to go. The beans are roasted locally and prepared with passion, so you can taste the rich flavor in every cup. Although you can’t sit there, you can buy their own coffee beans for your home. The friendly staff is happy to help you find the perfect beans for your favorite coffee flavor. The staff consists of a small team so they recognize their guests immediately after a few visits. So order a good cup of coffee, and go explore what the lovely neighborhood of Benimaclet has to offer!
