Tinto de verano is a Spanish summer wine, a mixture of soda (Fanta lemon or Gaseosa) and red wine. Serve it on the rocks and with a slice of lemon and your refreshing and light alcoholic drink is ready. Tinto de Verano is a very popular drink in Spain during the summer. It is actually a lot more popular by the locals than Sangria. On my tapas tour, lots of people tried Tinto de Verano for the first time and really liked it! They are surprised how easy it is to make. To celebrate the summer, I am making Tinto de Verano. Hope you will enjoy this video and drink one as well 😉

  • Red wine (a young, simple red wine is fine)
  • Fanta lemon or gaseosa, you can also use Sprite or bitter lemon
  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon slice to decorate

  1. Put some ice cubes in a glass
  2. Add 50% red wine and 50% Fanta lemon or gaseosa
  3. Decorate with a slice of lemon

I hope that this video will bring you into the Spanish summer atmosphere and that you will make a Tinto de Verano yourself. I would love to hear it!
