Metro

An efficient way to get from the airport to the city is by metro. You can find the metro station on the first floor of the airport. Valencia has a total of 10 different metro lines located in different zones (the airport is zone +). From the airport you can choose metro line 3 or metro line 5. Check here on the metro map which stop is closest to your destination and then enter the stop here to get the correct directions.

Metro Ticket:

To get from the airport to the city center, buy a ticket at the ticket counter for zone AB+. This is a single ticket and costs €4.80 (+ €1 for the reusable ticket). Before you can enter the metro, you must scan your ticket at the entrance gates. It takes about 20-25 minutes before you find yourself in the heart of Valencia!

TIP The ticket itself costs €1, – you can top this up and use it again. Even multiple people only need 1 ticket, a ten-ride ticket costs €20 so this can be more beneficial!

If you plan to use public transport in Valencia a lot, consider a 24 or 72 hour Tourist card, transportation from the airport is included.

Bus

The bus in Valencia is incredibly cheap, but does take a little longer. So for those who think “Time is money,” this may not be your favorite option. From the airport, take Line 150. The bus stop is near the arrivals hall between the cab stands and the parking garage.

Bus Ticket:

A bus ticket costs €1.45 and you can buy it on the bus from the driver. The bus runs every half hour but please note that on Sundays and holidays the bus does not run. Travel time is about 45 minutes.

Taxi

Cabs are unmissable at the Valencia airport. You can of course book a cab through Uber or Cabify, but it is also possible to just stop a cab at the stands. If you are with more than 4 people, it is convenient to arrange a van in advance. The same applies when traveling with small children, as a car seat is mandatory.

Tip! Through Tours in Valencia you can also of course order a cab! What could be better than being met at the airport by one of our friendly cab drivers, who will take you to the city within 20 minutes. Interested? Send a message to me, Suzie, and I’ll be happy to help you with a reservation!
