Do you want to start the new year on a good note? Then join me in the Spanish New Year traditions!
During the last bells of the old year we eat 12 grapes, one at each bell stroke. Many people do this together on a square, like this year in Valencia on the town hall square, the Plaza de Ayuntamiento. It’s really a great experience to wait with thousands of people for the chimes and then at the same time squeeze those grapes inside.
Also nice is that this year there are fireworks (how could that be otherwise in Valencia) and a DJ with a show. Are you in Valencia, don’t miss this! If you are not in Valencia with during the new year, I hope you will join me in the Spanish tradition of grapes and of course red underwear for a year full of passion!
Hope to see you next year in Valencia!
